Ladies and Gentlemen,

I can't even believe that you guys exists and wasted a bunch of money to
put up a website about this so-called-cause. How bizzare.

It's a fundamental fact of human nature that there is a direct correlation
between someone's understanding of something and how much they enjoy it.
Any of you chums like soccer? And of those of you that don't like soccer,
how much do you actually know about it?

Same thing with DJing. Do you have any idea about the raw euphoria that a
gifted superstar dj can send you into? Have you actually tried to understand
house and electronic, attend a great show, let go of you deepest inhibitions
and surrender yourself to the pure magic contained in the music. It's a
powerful experience.

To those of you who think superstar DJ's are not as deserving of the title
"musician" as you are: First of all, you are choosing to be ignorant. The
greatest superstar DJs out there are working constantly up there. They are
not just "playing records" as you guys seem to think. They are beatmatching,
deciding on filters, using effects with perfect application and timing, reading
the crowd to see where would be best to take them next, and using whatever
other creative tools and techniques they've Cooked up. Having fun not because
they know they're making a ton of money, but because one can't help but feel
great when they're making so many people feel so great. They are every bit as
deserving of the title as you are, they just use different tools.

One should go around this world lighting people's candles, not blowing them out.
In my estimation, this Kawasaki gentlemen has some personal issues to resolve.

Cheers!
Phil

I just had to drop you a line to say that Keep Frozen is absolute fuckin'
brilliance. I do the dance/electric buying for Tower Records in downtown
Seattle, Washington. None of the first batch of copies that we ordered in
ever made it to the floor. I bought my copy as soon as it came in and
played it in my office and the rest of the copies were hoarded up by
employees who heard it. I await my next shipment so that we may enlighten
the masses.
Mad props on using the defunct Kozmo boxes! Keep the Strike Alive! I never
miss a D.O.S. supported show here in Seattle if possible.

Turtle

I just listened to it yesterday, coincidentally enough.
While I can appreciate the concept behind
DJs On Strike, I admit I don't ever
want to listen to that CD again. It's traumatic
to hear all these songs I was forced to endure
against my will while working in retail in the
80s, no matter how dope the new beats are
behind them. It is not an exaggeration to say
it is torture to hear Jackson/McCartney's
"The Girl Is Mine" (shit, the song's coming
back into my head--aaaaggghhhh!), Tina Turner,
Bryan Adams, ad nauseam, after I thought I'd
put them out of my memory forever.
So there you go. I am curious to hear what
DJs On Strike do next, but please, no more soft rock,
I beg of you.
